I think I draw myself so much because everytime I do I don't think it looks anything like me. And I want to make an autobio comic one day, so that would be a handy skill to have.

It's also hard because I'm trying to add in things about myself (mainly the long torso and round young babyface) and I can still hear my old Life Drawing professors complaining about proportions ahhh. I should throw my lazy eye in there just for kicks

But not bad considering I haven't drawn anything really in a long time. I'm not nearly as rusty as I expected to be. And I need to figure Painter out, it's ever so slightly different than Photoshop in so many ways.



And hmm, that red hoodie I've have forever might as well be my trademark. I think I'd cry if I ever had to throw it away.

I'm sitting here eating Dominos and catching up on last night's episode. It's very sunny outside, and I'm pretty happy right now.

I'm not too big on cheesy little love melodies like this. I think because there's a lot of them and they become very cliche/manufactured sounding very fast

Ugh I feel so terrible for never updating anymore.

I feel like most of my posts are silly things only 2-3 people on my Flist will care about, boring life ramblings no one cares about, moody topics that just scream ~livejournal~ because I have no other outlets....when I wanted this to be an art blog.


I did get Painter installed a few days ago, and I've been playing around with it. The thing is I haven't really drawn in almost a year, and so I feel I'm out of touch. So anything I do now is just warmup stuff for making good scribbles that are worth showing. Not to mention I don't like my style, I don't feel I have a style that is very unique, and so I'm figuring that out too.

I also need to get myself back into lots of my fandoms that are sources of creativity for me, there's been an empty lack of anything happening for a lot of them (avatar, ace attorney, blah blah) and I've obviously been distracted by several IRL things that don't need explaining


But oh well, I promise I'll post more in here. Now that Painter's finally here and I'm getting settled in school, hopefully I can get back to that. I need to fall back in love with comics.


I wish really bad I could just stay up all night, because my mind is racing and I'm wide awake. But living with another person in a small space (my computer is next to the bunk beds and having lights/typing all night seems so rude) and having to get up in 6 hours for class....sigh. >:/

2. I'm so happy I never spent any money from my first high school job and beyond. I'm so happy I worked junior/senior year and didn't have a life. Thank you Tech for finally updating my entire bill in full so that I maye give you all my precious money and not worry about it again until December. (but it's ok because I love you).

3. I need to think of more prints to make :/

which is awesome cause Chemistry turned not-fun this last week. Ugh. I'm gonna have to take the final after all :( so annoying. But all I have to do it look over everything I don't get 100% and I have a whole week to sharpen my Chem skillz

so all I'm gonna do for the next 7 days is draw and review Chem. Maybe I'm a dork but I'm excited about such a laidback week. Also josshouse idk if you figured this out by now but I really don't think I can finish Iris by next weekend. :/ I mean, I probably could if I rushed it, but I just got over a stressful week with Chem and I don't wanna get stressed out over cosplay right now :/ but one day, some friday or something? Dalhia seems like an easy/comfy Friday cosplay


Also, I got the idea for a little comic, just randomly in my head while driving today. Just a short oneshot thing, and it's not a doujin or fancomic. Just, you know, you get ideas and pictures in your head and you just have to get them out and on paper/computer! Anyway um I'll probably not speak of it again until it's all done, haha.

Ah my god, I just got an email from my Tech roommate. She's all like "I got an email saying we're rooming at Tech, so hi! We need to figure out who's bringing the fridge!" and just sounds precious. And she's a freshman, auggghh I feel old! And she's from Flower Mound, and I know several people from there.

I am less freaked out at having a bitchy roommate because none of my other roommates sounded this nice. Thank you Tech. Now just accept my facebook friend request and let's party into the night~

my god, that was crazy. Yeah, I didn't too well on it. But the tests are only 30% of the grade and I'm doing pretty awesome on everything else. Everyone else bombed the first test, so I'm not too worried about bombing this one. It was ridiculous anyway.

In other news, I got my hair cut! Ok not really, I love long hair, but I got layers in! It looks very much like Thirteen hair. Hopefully it'll be ok with curly hair, they are long layers, but I'm still scared. She always blows it so nice and straight, I get sad when I have to wash it away :(
